Visitors & Volunteers
Visitors
To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all visitors must obtain a visitor pass. Please park in the front lot, ring the bell located to the right of Door A as all doors are locked, and enter at Door A. Upon entrance, guests who travel beyond the office are required to present and scan a government-issued picture ID to obtain a visitor pass.
Volunteers
Volunteering is an excellent and rewarding way to get involved in our wonderful school community and work with our principal, teacher, students and staff. To learn about volunteer opportunities at Albertville Primary, please contact your child’s teacher or the main office. Classroom volunteers and chaperones must have a one-time background check completed.
Background Checks
Volunteer background checks are part of our efforts to keep our schools safe for students, staff and visitors. There is a $15 fee to have a background check processed through the school district. This is a one-time fee that lasts throughout your child’s education at STMA.
Please visit the District Volunteer webpage to complete a background check, OR
Please email Amy VanHeel, HR Supervisor, at amyva@mystma.org to request a background check. Be sure to include your full name, email address, and phone number in the body of your message. A link to the Trusted Employees website -to enter your information and pay by credit card- will be emailed to you for completion. The fee to process a background check is $15.
Other Ways To Help our School
Our school participates in the General Mills “Box Tops for Education” (https://www.boxtops4education.com/s/) program. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Proceeds earned go towards supporting students at Albertville Primary with holiday activities and other special times throughout the year.
Twice per school year, our school holds a Scholastic Book Fair. Once during Orientation Day in September, and again in January at Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a wonderful way to buy books for your family and friends, as well as for your classroom teacher! All proceeds go to support our school library!
